Caitlin Rowley

Interior Designer, Brand Strategist

A member of the Ellwood Interiors team since 2021, Caitlin’s passion is residential design. She loves getting to know her clients so she can execute their design goals while representing their personalities throughout their homes. Her desire to reflect the spirit of her clients is rooted in her interest in psychology. Caitlin studied fine art and psychology before earning a degree in Interior Design from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. During her time at CCS, she realized that interior design and psychology go hand in hand — interior designers are constantly studying how humans interact and feel in a space

After graduation, Caitlin launched her career in the commercial industry, where she learned and developed a comprehensive approach to creating environments that are functional, safe, beautiful, and respond effectively to the way people live their lives - at home, at work, and as part of communities. Since joining Ellwood and transitioning to residential design, she has used her experience developing concepts and thinking creatively to expand and focus on the psychology of her clients, creating truly custom designs.

Beyond her interior design work, Caitlin is drawn to myriad forms of creative expression. She excels in photography, sketching, graphic design, creating art, and delights in visiting museums and art galleries. She is naturally drawn to all things art and design related, and is constantly finding inspiration, especially when traveling.

Her passion for art is reflected in her work. Caitlin has a strong sense of color theory and implements or introduces colors in thoughtful ways. She believes the best interiors have something to say about the people who live in them, and your home should be a collection of what you love. For Caitlin, interior design is not what you see, but what you feel.
