Shari Robertson

Product and Purchasing Coordinator

Shari joined the Ellwood team in early 2022.  She finds joy in resourcing every necessity, whether that’s scheduling local craftsmen, receiving time-sensitive deliveries, or assisting on an installation or photoshoot.  Her career started as an investment advisor, after graduating with a BA in Economics and International Relations from the University of Michigan, but her passion for creative drove her to reinvent herself with a degree in Interior Design from Oakland Community College, which reshaped her future towards luxury interiors.

Prior to Ellwood, Shari was a Design Consultant with Virginia Tile. There she helped bring texture, shape and color to her clients’ projects. She elevated her knowledge of fabric and upholstery at Scalamandre Fabrics, a position she held during her Interior Design program. Shari is often recognized for her attention to the smallest detail and her multitasking abilities. Before design, Shari spent decades building relationships first as an investment advisor, then as a  large group corporate health plan account manager, in both roles, designing and implementing plans tailored to her clients’ lives.

Outside of design, Shari enjoys sewing, taking ballet classes, and participating in a variety of snow sports - she’s a self-proclaimed superfan of Michigan’s storied winters. In summer, Shari likes to kayak, wakesurf, and spend time on the lake with neighbors she considers more family than friends.  Shari has one grown son who lives in New Mexico and is constantly adventure-bound.

Shari’s passion for design guides her journey through all elements of our business from concept to construction. She finds constant inspiration from the projects, clients, and team—always ready to orchestrate the most client-considered space that’s less house, more home.
